This group is open to trades and non-trade volunteers.
For volunteers with trade experience, we will allocate tasks appropriate to your skills. If you are a trade, please arrive at 8am. Non-trades at 9am.
Non-technical roles do not require renovation experience. You could be asked to perform a range of duties. For some of these duties, you will be provided with training as appropriate. Duties could include: painting preparation, painting, furniture refinishing, simple flooring (such as carpet tile or vinyl plank), general labourer, landscaping, site set-up/break down, site clean-up, etc. You will not be asked to complete tasks you are not comfortable with.
Please carefully go through the “skills” section in the sign- up process, indicating the appropriate skill levels. (Note: skills are randomly displayed in this volunteer system, so you'll have to look for yours! If your skill is not listed, please choose "other" and leave a descriptive note.)
Long pants and closed-toed shoes mandatory.
